Getting one-of-a-kind construction projects off the ground is The Treehouse Guys' specialty. This DIY series spotlights the work of James "B'fer" Roth and Chris "Ka-V" Haake -- and an assorted cast of craftsmen, aka "tree musketeers" -- as they customize treetop getaways to be as unique as the families who hire Roth's crew. Then a rustic furniture maker in Vermont, Roth met Haake in the late 1990s, and it wasn't long before a partnership grew from building universally accessible treehouses for camps, parks, hospitals and schools to piecing together multilevel fortresses in backyards around the world. B'fer concentrates on the design half of the business, while Ka-V takes the construction lead.
