Dolores C 01/20/2024 It was absolutely fantastic. I am a big Bridge fan so started watching it with a good amount of scepticism. By the time I got to season 2 I was immersed in the characters. The plots were really very good. Season 3 blew me away. I actually cried, this is very rare! The arc of the story and the handling of loss blew me away. Watch it it is brilliant. See more John O 11/20/2023 Spoilers: I was so impressed by lead detectives French Rain-Man-quirky Clemence and wisecracking Brit Stephen that I watched all 24 episodes over three seasons in three days. What they had in common were superior work ethics and top-notch talent and skill as detectives. That they were forced to overcome Franco-British natural suspicion and animosity, and they did it to work together, spoke to their unusual competence and professionalism. Then we get into their lives, putting flesh and blood on the almost lone rangers. This had such good writing, you didn't much mind it dragging a bit here and there because it was not very long drags. The twists and turns didn't seem forced, more organic, and the writing excelled on twists and turns we really didn't see coming, particularly the ending. Clemence as Elise put everything in rooms, self-contained bits of information as rooms of a house, and she walked here and there freely to put things together, to make connections -- compartmentalization plus reintegration. It was true in her own life as a single woman who put sex in one box, and affection in another, though she didn't seem to go to that box much. Sephen was a family man with marital and other problems. It was a change of Elise's r standoffish nature that she finally called Stephen the only person she trusts, her best friend and even hugged him a couple of times. Her analytical brilliance and ability to get immediately to the important investigative stuff held even when it was about to cost her her life. Forced to make a decision to save her, his friend, or 11 others, Stephen as Karl could not decide, though she urged him to save the 11 as just a matter of numbers, as cops are public servants. I suppose producers or Clemence or Stephen were played out, as a season 4 was precluded. Thoroughly enjoyed the three seasons. I was so impressed by Clemence, as I have seen before, and Stephen has played Brits, Americans, whatever, and pretty darn well. Bravo! See more Read all reviews
