I'd say if you wanted to introduce someone to the concept of an Isekai, this is a good pick, although it's technically not one of those either. The rat knocks a half star off of my review, being the unnecessary "cute animal sidekick" that draws too much attention away from the otherwise solid story. For once the armor on female characters doesn't feel like fan-service, excluding one very minor character who is present for one scene. That said, the character of Lorraine, while definitely on the "sexier" side is intended to be the unrequited romantic interest of the protagonist, and she is not a helpless damsel, so I can ignore her "assets".
