Influential rock musician, noted film composer, and award winning short story writer - Barry Adamson had various titles throughout his long and wide-ranging career. His most significant contribution to music came in the late '70s when, after a brief stint as a graphic designer, he joined the celebrated English post-punk band Magazine as its bassist. After that band broke up in 1981, Adamson joined Nick Cave's post-Birthday Party outfit The Bad Seeds. By the early 1990s, Adamson's musical career took on a second life when he began contributing to the soundtracks of films like "The Freshman" (1990), "Natural Born Killers" (1994), and "Scream 3" (2000). He may not be as well known to the general public as some of his post-punk peers, but Barry Adamson's numerous contributions to film and rock music should not be discounted.
