He attended the University of Central Florida and played wide receiver for the UCF Knights. He was named MVP for his team in the 2005 Hawaii Bowl. The Denver Broncos drafted him into the NFL in 2006 and he soon became one of the team's offensive weapons, going three consecutive seasons with 100 or more receptions from 2008 to 2010. He played in his first Pro Bowl in 2009. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2010. He was named MVP in his third Pro Bowl, played in 2012.
