  • American screenwriter Brown Holmes spent the first years of the 1930s at Warner Bros. Here, Brown worked on such projects as the 1931 version of The Maltese Falcon, I am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932), 20,000 Years in Sing Sing (1933) and a handful of Warners' Perry Mason programmers. He moved on to 20th Century-Fox, where among many other assignments he collaborated on the screenplay for Three Blind Mice (1938), the story of three girls on the prowl for rich husbands. Three Blind Mice would be remade by Fox several times over the next few years, with Brown Holmes dutifully receiving screen credit on each new incarnation.
