Dietrich Lohmann
A key cinematographer of the New German Cinema, Dietrich Lohmann first came to prominence for his collaboration with director Rainer Werner Fassbinder. He garnered particular praise for his work on the European scenes of the ABC miniseries "War and Remembrance" (1988). Hollywood beckoned and Lohmann went on to work on "The Lover" (1990), "The Innocent" (1993) and "The Peacemaker" (1997). He was in the final weeks of shooting "Deep Impact" (1998) at his untimely death.
