Was born on the same date (November 21) and in the same town as National Baseball Hall-of-Famer Stan Musial. Selected No.1 overall by the Seattle Mariners in 1987. More than 1 million Ken Griffey Jr. chocolate bars were sold after their introduction in 1989. Became part of the first father/son duo to appear in the same lineup on August 31, 1990. Recorded the song "The Way I Swing" with rapper Kid Sensation in the early '90s. Appeared as himself in the baseball-themed movies Little Big League (1994) and Summer Catch (2001).
