Once Upon a Time in Harlem (2026) 100% 8/10 EDIT “It is a privilege to be invited into the space of masters and hear about the experiences that have molded the community and made it prosper. Such a work deserves to be seen and admired for the achievement that it is.” – Next Best Picture Jan 28, 2026 Full Review Shelter (2026) 75% 3/10 EDIT “Not every entry in this particular corner of cinema has to be of top-tier quality. Still, they should also be able to deliver more riveting material than what is served here in such an uninspired manner.” – Next Best Picture Jan 28, 2026 Full Review Send Help (2026) 90% 6/10 EDIT “Sam Raimi often crafts an entertaining spectacle, with gleeful violence played out with an engrossing tone.” – Next Best Picture Jan 26, 2026 Full Review Soul Patrol (2026) 7/10 EDIT “However, the subjects here are soulful in their recollections and captivating as they hold court. Even with missed opportunities for an even deeper understanding, what is present is still a worthwhile discovery.” – Next Best Picture Jan 25, 2026 Full Review 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026) 92% 8/10 EDIT “Unlike many horror franchises, this re-invention has seemingly found a way to improve its stock between entries.” – Next Best Picture Jan 13, 2026 Full Review Truth & Treason (2025) 83% 5/10 EDIT “The crafts are admirable, and the performances are durable, but the importance of this real-life tale doesn’t quite match the intensity showcased within this film.” – Next Best Picture Jan 8, 2026 Full Review Greenland 2: Migration (2026) 51% 4/10 EDIT “A handful of impressive scenes come nowhere close to saving this picture. It’s disappointing that one of the most unexpectedly entertaining films of the last few years has led to a banal, forgettable project.” – Next Best Picture Jan 8, 2026 Full Review Anaconda (2025) 48% 4/10 EDIT “The actors are fine, but their utilization is inconsistent, and with a severe lack of dazzling spectacle, the film becomes a languid exercise. Whatever amusement is found here is either too forced or too shallow to be worthy of investment.” – Next Best Picture Dec 23, 2025 Full Review Ella McCay (2025) 22% 6/10 EDIT “Brooks still understands how to use that mixture of drama and comedy effectively, even if the commentary isn't as sharp as it once was.” – Next Best Picture Dec 10, 2025 Full Review Banzo (2024) 6/10 EDIT “Cardoso’s filmmaking crafts an expansive world that is also constrained in its emotions, wrestling with a power structure that chooses to turn a blind eye to the atrocities it tacitly endorses.” – Next Best Picture Dec 10, 2025 Full Review Megadoc (2025) 98% 7/10 EDIT “It’s a very captivating display, but it does stop short of being more impactful because this portrait still feels incomplete.” – Next Best Picture Sep 18, 2025 Full Review Bravo Bene! (2025) 5/10 EDIT “For those in the know, this could be an engrossing look at an intriguing artist as he finds an avenue to create a special work. But many will struggle to find value, instead finding this piece to be a tedious endeavor.” – Next Best Picture Sep 6, 2025 Full Review Silent Friend (2025) 100% 9/10 EDIT “The tales spun within “Silent Friend” look to unearth these desires and showcase what a powerful force they are, and it renders this portrait as a beautifully mesmerizing experience.” – Next Best Picture Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Elisa (2025) 4/10 EDIT “ It could have been an absorbing character study, but the storytelling is far too flat to become engrossing. ” – Next Best Picture Sep 5, 2025 Full Review Scarlet (2025) 69% 7/10 EDIT “What it showcases is a visually impressive feast that’s not matched by the shallower thematic commentary at its core.” – Next Best Picture Sep 4, 2025 Full Review Girl (2025) 70% 5/10 EDIT “There’s a recognition it may be reckoning with recognizable territory, but the storytelling doesn’t elevate this material to a level that makes it worthy of investment.” – Next Best Picture Sep 4, 2025 Full Review Duse (2025) 67% 7/10 EDIT “Getting a glimpse of this figure’s tragic yet absorbing life is an enthralling venture, and it mostly succeeds because of the singular performer who holds the film together at its strongest anchor.” – Next Best Picture Sep 3, 2025 Full Review The Voice of Hind Rajab (2025) 95% 8/10 EDIT “Hania’s filmmaking brings a sense of intimacy right to the screen, and she and the actors create an arresting film that is sure to incite the same kind of rage and tragedy these characters witness.” – Next Best Picture Sep 3, 2025 Full Review A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE (2025) 75% 8/10 EDIT “There’s no denying what a powerfully rendered tale this is, both impressive in its filmmaking and performances.” – Next Best Picture Sep 2, 2025 Full Review Broken English (2025) 91% 4/10 EDIT “However, it feels like an odd pairing of tone to subject matter that doesn’t coalesce into a satisfying whole. The figure at the center of this work is compelling, but the concept that surrounds her never feels like it really justifies that decision.” – Next Best Picture Aug 30, 2025 Full Review Frankenstein (2025) 85% 5/10 EDIT “Ultimately, the piece collapses under the weight of del Toro’s vision, a muddled collage of tones that consistently underwhelms. It’s a beautiful collage that amounts to a surprisingly arduous execution.” – Next Best Picture Aug 30, 2025 Full Review Calle Málaga (2025) 94% 7/10 EDIT “The character study being forged remains passionately vibrant, and Maura’s performance serves as the guiding light that makes this effort worthwhile. She is undoubtedly the film’s greatest asset, and it’s worth seeking out just to watch her brilliant work” – Next Best Picture Aug 29, 2025 Full Review Jay Kelly (2025) 75% 6/10 EDIT “There is a poeticism to “Jay Kelly” that can be appreciated in many individual sections. Yes, the performances from across the board are all absorbing, with Sandler achieving the title of best in show. ” – Next Best Picture Aug 28, 2025 Full Review Orphan (2025) 63% 6/10 EDIT “Even though there are still endless possibilities to discuss the aftermath of these great conflicts spread throughout history, this one’s execution is too flawed to be entirely riveting, despite some components being still worthy of praise.” – Next Best Picture Aug 28, 2025 Full Review La Grazia (2025) 81% 7/10 EDIT “It’s a change of pace for Sorrentino, in some regards, to bring humanity to figures who want to rule over large parts of society. It’s a tender examination, sometimes not fully formed but always with provocative ideas to unearth.” – Next Best Picture Aug 27, 2025 Full Review
