The idea had room to grow, but the execution feels like it’s just going through the motions. The humor is hit-or-miss at best, and most of the jokes don’t land in a memorable way. The story feels stretched and predictable, with pacing that makes it feel longer than it really is. The voice performances are fine, but they’re not enough to elevate the material. A lot of the energy feels more chaotic than fun, which makes it hard to stay engaged for long. Overall, it’s a very weak follow-up that doesn’t bring much new to the table. I’d rate it a 3/10—more annoying than entertaining, and definitely not the strongest "squeakquel." Like the first movie, it does a solid job blending these characters into a live-action world and making them feel more like part of a real environment rather than just cartoon chaos. The movie definitely has enough music, humor, and playful energy to keep kids entertained, and the addition of the girls helps the story feel a little fresher. At the same time, it still has the same issue as the first film in that it is extremely childish and very clearly aimed at a younger audience. There are also some missed opportunities because the story stays very safe and generic instead of trying to do anything more creative or memorable. Overall, it is still a fun family movie that holds your attention, but it is not something most people are going to revisit often.
