07/14/2020 This movie is like a soporific remake of the far superior Jane Austen Book Club. See more 11/11/2015 I loved "meeting" the Book Club ladies. Beginning with their lives in 1940's Washington, they witnessed the worst upheavals of the last century, and they tell their stories with grace, humor and pathos. Through it all, the lifelong friends formed around a little book club, supported each other through birth and death, love and war. Deeply moving. See more Read all reviews
