All Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) has ever wanted is to be a professional hockey player. But he soon discovers he may actually have a talent for playing an entirely different sport: golf. When his grandmother (Frances Bay) learns she is about to lose her home, Happy joins a golf tournament to try and win enough money to buy it for her. As the front nine for Adam Sandler's eccentricities about expressing enragement, "Happy Gilmore" & all its punching is an easier sell to audiences than "Billy Madison's" oddities. But even as rougher edges are rounded off, it's still among Sandler's best.

What can I say? My son and I are both huge hockey fans. I probably would have given the movie five stars if I didn't have to look at that effing Bruins sweater for half the movie.

A True Iconic Adam Sandler Comedy Classic A Very Simple Charming Story About A Guy With Anger Issues Named Happy Who Discovers A Hidden Talent In Time To Save His Beloved Grandmother's Home. It's Basic, It's Predictable, But It's Still One I Can Rewatch Anytime. There's A Reason It's Called "Happy Madison Productions". If You Haven't Quoted This Movie At Least Once, You're Lying To Yourself. It Is A Lot Of Silly Physical Comedy, But It Can Have A Clever Punch Line Here & There As Well. I Miss These Comedies, But I Also Would Never Make A Sequel To This.......... What A Shame. B+ 7.5-8/10 I'd Say "A Must Watch For Adam Sandler Fans", But I'm Sure This Is What Made Them Adam Sandler Fans To Begin With If Not Billy Madison. So Instead, A Must-Watch For Everyone
