Movie Info

By all appearances, 19th-century California gentleman Don Diego (Frank Langella) is more concerned with social gatherings than with social problems. But by cover of night, Diego cloaks himself in a stealthy disguise and uses his considerable sword skills to subvert the oppressive forces of cruel politician Don Quintero (Robert Middleton). Icy lawman Esteban (Ricardo Montalban) hunts the anonymous avenger, eventually meeting him in a showdown that will decide the peasants' fate.

This remake of the Tyrone Power version even steals the soundtrack. You might enjoy, if you haven't seen the earlier version, but if you have, its a yawn.

A very cheesy film. Langella is good but this is standard TV movie fare. Stick with the recent versions.
