Blake- N @PBSAniDom 1d Toys is one of those films that feels imaginative on the surface but quickly loses its charm. While the visual style is undeniably unique and colorful, it often comes across as more distracting than meaningful. Robin Williams brings his usual energy, but the script doesn’t give him much to work with. The humor feels inconsistent, sometimes quirky but often just confusing rather than funny. The story itself struggles to find a clear direction, making it hard to stay engaged. What could have been a clever satire ends up feeling unfocused and oddly paced. There are moments where the creativity shines, but they’re too scattered to carry the film as a whole. Overall, it’s an interesting idea that doesn’t quite come together. Weak 3/10. It’s a comedy and this is a story about an eccentric family who love toys and building/crafting toys for children. I don’t get all the negative comments ,and it seems people’s brains are turning to mush in our current modern age if they can’t get into enjoying such a Brilliant movie. I like the cast of Robin Williams, Joan Cusack, Michael Gambon and LLCoolJ and the music is really cool for the 1990s, but the story was lackluster and the final battle was weak.
