Known as the "heroin highway," Interstate 65 is one of the biggest drug trafficking corridors in the United States. In this firsthand look into how drug cartels have infiltrated America's heartland, the producers of "60 Days In" add a new twist to the series that follows law-abiding citizens going under cover in local jails. For first time, the investigation extends beyond the usual jail walls and onto actual streets, as six new participants immerse themselves into some of the most dangerous, drug-infested areas in the Midwest to tackle the drug crisis from multiple angles. Viewers will ride along with local law enforcement for a 360-degree look into the epidemic, and Kentucky's Bullitt County Narcotics Unit provides unique access into its mission to take back communities by identifying drug traffickers and cartel-connected individuals, one offender at a time.
