Dwayne Fields grew up around violent gangs and is a natural-born survivor who has stared death in the face his entire life. He escaped the inner city to become an explorer, and he conquered the brutal magnetic north pole, becoming the first Black British citizen to achieve this accomplishment. His unmatched resilience, unique spirit and optimism have him determined to push himself to the absolute edge. In this series, Fields is dropped into some of the most extreme places on Earth for seven whole days when epic natural forces combine to supersize external threats. His task is to keep himself and his small film crew alive and lead them to an extraction point, revealing incredible moments on Earth only a few have witnessed.

Dacari R @RT98195491 05/14/2023 I've always love the concept of surviving in the wilderness for a certain amount of time. It's also refreshing to see a person who isn't always prepared or is willing to show us all the non-glamorous parts of exploration. I also appreciate seeing a black person adventure & explore just like the other natural geographical series lead by white people. Definitely give it a watch. Representation especially in this form makes a huge difference & I support it. See more DecXD @RT44497055 03/16/2023 I love this show. The premise is amazing and I really hope they come out with more episodes soon. The camerawork is phenomenal (which is typical of National Geographic by the way), and I really felt the intensity of every episode. The highs and lows were very dramatic and Dwayne has the perfect level of expressiveness for this show. Would absolutely recommend. See more Bucksin L @RT53458949 02/27/2023 Generally survival-based shows struggle to find balance between production value, and realism. I found little trouble in suspending my disbelief to enjoy the experience they create with this show. So why the 2 and a half stars? The inaccuracies or outright false statements which could have been avoided if a single consultant was involved who knew what they were doing. I expect these inaccuracies from Bear Grylls who isn't even respected by the Boy Scouts he's an ambassador for, but not from Dwayne Fields. Dwayne Fields saying he's kayaking when he does not have a kayak, he has a packraft, is concerning. Or getting excited to find a fire starting accelerant when he's using a bic, which has the accelerant built-in, it's called lighter fuel. He doesn't exhibit any skills beyond that of a Boy Scout. For the average person this might be enjoyable, and feel like an adventure. For those of us this content feels created for, we're once again left with a lame host. See more Read all reviews
