Episode 4 definitely had a different feel to it than the first three episodes. It was markedly less scary and a lot more fun, in an "American Horror Story" kind of way.

As we all know, the worse you make the characters, the more satisfying it is to watch them get killed off, and writer Manny Coto seems to have a field day indulging in their awfulness.

For the first time since this poor imitation of the main series kicked off, the episode runtime was just about right, but that's not to say the episode was particularly worthwhile.

However, despite the solid synthesis between these ideas, "The Naughty List" re-gifts old horror tropes and suffers from tinsel-thin characters that represent some of the worst habits within the larger American Horror Story universe.
