All the lords are violent, sadistic monsters and the simple people are all passive SAINTS. Behaviors are shown in this film that are not remotely believable in real life--such a system as shown in this movie would not have lasted a week in real life. The quality of thos show could surprise you. The battles are little 'simplier' compares to other show but it's not main part of the storie. There is no social agenda pushed on to you as such. Apart from a Robin Hood nobles bad poor good.
