Rebecca M @RT36890540 02/06/2025 It really isn’t worth three episodes. Only a specialist student wouldn’t need this much detail. This blow by tiny blow telling of the story of Charles’s downfall is repetitive and strewn with the “meaningful looks” school of tv story telling both from the actors playing the historical characters and the presenter. All of the principles have run out of faces to pull by the first half hour of the first episode. It wastes so much time. I wish it had been an hour commission - two at the utmost. It’s leaden.
