In this follow-up to the 1976 film of the same name, Sydney psychiatrist Tom Allen (Simon Burke) becomes involved in religious corruption, scandal and intrigue when he accepts the role of secular confessor to the Catholic clergy after a school boy disappears. John Noble stars as Bishop John McNally, Don Hany as Bishop Vincent Quaid, Jack Thompson as Cardinal Constantine Neville and Toni Collette as MP Margaret Wallace. Andrew McFarlane, Uli Latukefu, Max Cullen and Leon Ford also star.
