Lynne P @RT00490156 07/20/2024 A different spin and enjoying the difference. But too much family conversations The show should be about renovation and not so much family. Sorry. His family seems nice but I don’t tune in for family drama. See more Judy P @RT69443146 06/26/2024 Having grown up in upstate New York and visited similar properties as a child, teen and adult, when I saw the show, I was hopeful that the restoration would be in context with its heritage and beauty of the area. Unfortunately, we were disappointed after only seeing he first episode and won’t return. We were sad to see gentleman Is taking this beautiful property and totally modernizing it to an upscale level in order to attract people with a lot money, not paying attention at all to the family, the history and the beauty of the area. His sole intention is to make money with high end short-term rentals. Sad choices. He clearly doesn’t care about the property’s history. So much unnecessary money being spent, unless you are just trying to attract major money. He “worries” about money, while he spends unnecessarily on these renovations. The cabins had so much charm, and now that charm is totally removed as he goes along with his plans. We really looked forward to watching the show, and we rarely invest in time with television, but this looked special. A chance to take history and run with it. A final comment, this gentleman says he has history staying with his family on the shores as a child, it looked peaceful and sweet when shown pictures and movie clips. It’s clear he’s in a whole different place in life and doesn’t even remember his own heritage. Very sad. See more Read all reviews
