James P @RT75840215 11/09/2024 One of the most frustrating "documentary" series I've watched. Finally quitting at episode 5. Never feels like they are giving you enough information or have knowledgeable witnesses. They just keep regurgitating lines that have no connection to what's going on, like everything is out of order. Someone disappears and they keep repeating interviews of people saying "whoever did this was methodical and calculating"even though they haven't presented anything to back that up yet, and the narrative hasn't even confirmed the victim was dead. Ep5 , I am at 35 of 41 minutes and they have shown the same camera shot of a grate being dragged over a hole at LEAST 15 times, but there had been no hints at all in the narrative about the victim being found in that circumstance. It's very frustrating for the narrative to be like "maybe she has kidnapped by this guy over here and she's alive" *cut to shot of a grate being dragged over a resting place*...I still don't even know what the grate has to do with and you spend the whole episode being angry. If you don't want to reveal the ending until the end DON'T shove out of context teases about it every two minutes! They make their interviewees sound like idiots as well. In this one they didn't realize this guy on the SAME street the person lived and disappeared on was a violent sex offender until 18 YEARS later?! If there was a reason this wasn't followed up the documentary doesn't give you those details. Makes it seem like everyone is a complete moron. Last episode was equally stupid. The case was cold for (15?) years until one of the killers straight up calls the cops and confesses out of the blue, and the accomplice also confesses... And then multiple interviewees keep saying "they thought they got away with murder" like THEY cracked the case!? You did nothing. If they have to confess years later of their own volition they must have hid the body pretty well? Really stupid. See more Read all reviews
