New York journalist Arthur visits the West Coast to write a book about the City of Angels. He is a diehard New Yorker who fully expects to detest "La La Land" and its inhabitants. Bunking with an old college buddy, he feels his contempt for the stereotypical Los Angeles culture fade away as he begins to develop a new appreciation for the relaxed vibe of the California lifestyle. While he'd originally intended to stay only two months for research, suddenly Arthur's not sure he'll be able to leave Hollywood so easily.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

It's Like, You Know... aims for the same comedic spontaneity of a certain show about nothing, but the series' shallow satire of Los Angeles and collection of vapid characters make the aimlessness all the more tedious.

Even as you swear you have never met anyone, or anything, like these dorks, it's difficult not to laugh at what comes out of their mouths. Go to Full Review

There isn't much left to pick over when making fun of Los Angeles, but Peter Mehlman, a former co-executive producer at Seinfeld, goes deep enough into the vapidity of the Left Coast to make the subject fresh again. Go to Full Review

This sitcom isn't just derivative, it's only occasionally funny and doesn't always make sense. Go to Full Review
