Iain M @RT00244652 12/14/2024 Outstanding doc series. It’s the definitive account of perhaps the most infamous murder case in Canadian history. The doc doesn’t try to sensationalize the events and tells the shocking story of Bernardo and Homolka in fascinating detail that no one has done before. Riveting stuff. Well worth watching. See more jeff s @RT85260530 06/07/2024 This series missed the most important question of the entire situation. they said that karla turned her husband in because he was supposedly abusing her. yet the tapes not only show her killing her sister and abusing the other victims, but it also shows her abusing a female on her own. Why would anybody go to the police and even tell them about the tapes when they know that it is going to incriminate them? I found it amazing that the most important question was never even asked or addressed. See more W F @RT10804982 08/28/2023 It was very interesting. Well thought out documentary, that kept us on our toes and shows us how flawed the justice system is even in Canada. See more Diane B @BklynWriter 06/11/2023 I confess to having a personal connection here, as my sister tutored victim Leslie Mahaffy and I interviewed her mom in my first job at Maclean's. (The dad of my boyfriend at the time also defended Bernardo's idiotic lawyer who hid tapes that would have also put Karla away for life.) But I digress. Long story short: it's a tale of two psychopaths, only one of whom was brought to justice--and the horrific crimes they committed against young girls. It's a must-see, in my view, because a number of the decisions that came out of that case helped to shape our approach to future cases. And you get to listen to a bunch of Canadian accents.
