It rivals Gunsmoke and its own parent series, Law & Order, as one of the longest-running dramas on US television, and constantly keeps things fresh with a host of gripping storylines.

Apr 16, 2020 | Full Review…

SVU continues to be a valuable tool that keeps sexually-based and intra-familial crimes center stage, where these horrific events should be. It tackles the taboo.

In stark contrast to its peers, SVU understands its place in the cultural zeitgeist and the responsibility that comes with that.

Honestly, the fact that the show lasted this long is just impressive on its face.

Powerful work from Sally Murphy as the boy's conflicted mom, and a strong first impression from Sandrine Holt in a recurring role as psychologist Lisa Abernathy.

Sep 28, 2018 | Full Review…

I've been waiting all summer for the return of Law & Order: SVU and the season premiere didn't disappoint. If anything, it exceeded expectations.

By introducing a conversation about masculinity and gun control in its very first episode of the season, SVU seems to be suggesting that if, for some reason we haven't been having these discussions before, it's about time for us to start.

Growing up in N.Y. the story lines are way out. The fake N.Y. accents don't help.

Very contemporary and relevant to today's current events.

This show is good if you want to stay depressed, the opening is always a child assault and is very dark all the way through, to much dark drama. If you watch this over and over again you will know what actors will do and you will try to keep your kids indoors
