Mike & Molly: Season 4 Photos

Tv Season Info

Season 4 brought some surprising changes to the Biggs' household as Molly (Melissa McCarthy) made a monumental decision regarding her teaching career and entertained the notion of becoming a writer. In order to research the crime novel she's planning, Molly goes on a ride-along in Carl (Reno Wilson) and Mike's patrol car, and she also visits Victoria's workplace at the funeral home. Then, in a meeting with her literary hero, J.C. Small (Susan Sarandon), Molly gets some cynical advice from the famous novelist. Later in the season, Small turns up again when Carl and Mike book her for driving under the influence. As for Mike, he too had some momentous incidents in his life as he took a bullet during a robbery, which led him to contemplate his mortality and choice of profession. Later, he, Carl and Samuel (Nyambi Nyambi) undertake a road trip to Memphis, where they hope to meet Carl's long-estranged mother. In the Season 4 finale, Molly is ecstatic to be accepted into a prestigious writer's workshop, but Mike isn't thrilled about having his wife gone for eight weeks.

Critic Reviews for Mike & Molly Season 4

All Critics (3) | Top Critics (2)

The fourth season of Mike & Molly has played out as one of the more awkward retools in recent TV history.

[The episode title also stands] for the show's probably wise decision to loosen some of the bonds on star Melissa McCarthy, who's as good as anyone in the business at finding the comedy in a scene and the truth in the comedy.

The fourth season takes the reins off Molly in just about every way. The "old" Mike & Molly wasn't bad, [but] the newer show retains their lovability - but has put it in a much livelier context.

Audience Reviews for Mike & Molly: Season 4

  • Nov 23, 2014
While season three had a mix of good to poor episodes, Season 4 really began the terminal decline for this show.
  • Jun 24, 2014
"An amazing tv show! Who wouldn't like it?"
  • May 26, 2014
Una temporada mucho mas comica que las anteriores.
  • Apr 17, 2014
    Cliche' and unfunny.
  • Feb 24, 2014
The first three seasons were hilarious, this last season has just been more depressing than anything.
  • Feb 13, 2014
MIke and Molly has a great cast, it appears all the good writers moved to Mom's. What a waste of great talent, Chuck should fire the show runner for the change in opening alone.
  • Dec 10, 2013
A heart-warming return for the series, despite its slow pace in the fourth season's story.
  • Dec 09, 2013
No more laughs in season 4. I have a feeling the format change will hurt the ratings. We stopped recording the show.
