F @RT68678650 Jan 23 I'm sad series 3 wasn't as good - it's missing some important ingredients. I stuck with it, as I love the characters and wanted to see how things panned out for them. Thankfully, the sci-fi elements from series 2 are gone. Unfortunately, action wise, there's just not very much going on for the audience to get their teeth into this time! The series lacked the mystery/intrigue/cat-and-mouse elements which kept us invested up until now. The storylines felt quite disconnected from each other and far too much focus was placed on the court case, which really pulled characters, as well as the audience's attention, away from the latest investigation. (Although, this may well have been intentional as, in truth, the new case lacked substance!). The ending was anticlimactic and overly convenient. Brendan Gleeson continues to be brilliant though. Season 3 is over acted particularly with a so called judge who does more swearing than a sailor to try to add dramatoc efffect but is just insulting to tje audience and cast. completely unbelievable moronic script.
