The thing I enjoyed about season 2 is that it doesn’t mainly focus on the love triangle but gives us a lot more in terms of the family as a whole. This doesn’t just apply to the Walters, but it’s also about Richard and his relationship with Jackie. Go to Full Review

My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2 is mostly worth the long wait, though the massive gap between seasons made it harder to follow than it should have been. Go to Full Review

Perhaps one of the most frustrating teen dramas in years, My Life with the Walter Boys continues to spin its wheel while making every character unsympathetic. Go to Full Review

While there’s a lot going on in the second season of My Life With The Walter Boys, we’re still on board with the Jackie-Alex-Cole triangle, and are now intrigued by some of the side stories, as well. Go to Full Review

For those who may find the themes of The Summer I Turned Pretty too mature or the subject matter of Ginny & Georgia too intense, My Life With the Walter Boys makes for a perfectly pleasant substitution. Go to Full Review

Sam M. Dec 31 A horrible excuse for romance. Just the Summer I Turned Pretty but a whole lot worse. This show gave me little to no sympathy for any character. Main character is annoying and the two boys both kind of suck. The main character was literally the most toxic person I’ve ever seen. Getting in a relationship with one guy then making out with another right in his face?!?! Like sure lust got the better of here, but seriously have some morals! And I bet when they make a season 3 (because obviously they will) the main character will still be hunky dory while the 2 brothers still tear each other apart blaming the other ignoring that she’s the problem?! This was awful acting. Nothing felt natural. Especially the acting for Skylar. I did not feel bad for this man. I also felt no sympathy for Nathan. Both were petty and annoying and didn’t even have the acting skills to make up for it. Also the acting for Jackie. Oh I swear I didn’t feel anything for this character. I want to see this show in its third season have the boys (Cole and Alex) decide that they’re too good for Jackie and that she’s the real problem in this slop of a Netflix drama. I hate watched this show. See more Mirielle C @Lulu27 Dec 23 I am obsessed with this show See more Elisha I @asapidox Nov 19 A really fun and heartfelt season. The drama was addictive without going overboard, and the character growth made it even better than the first season. A few episodes were a bit slower, but overall it delivered plenty of emotion, chemistry, and those classic teen-show highs. Super easy to binge and genuinely enjoyable. See more oluwagbotemi a Sep 24 So, while I might not fully love the season 1 of this film, season is definitely a must see. I'm so excited to see a third season. I've not, in a long time, been engrossed in a film this much. Spent the whole midnight on it. If you've not seen it, please do, and if you don't find season 1 so convincing, please just stay patient till you get to season 2- it's worth the wait, I tell you. See more Amy R Sep 24 I’m a 48 year old lady and started watching this with a teenager and we both really enjoyed it. I even started season 2 without my lil teenybopper I don’t understand why people are saying anything negative about its theme or direction. It has a bit of everything and to me that’s what real life is. But everyone has a choice to watch it or don’t watch it right? See more Cat M Sep 23 Season 2 of My Life With the Walter Boys unfortunately repeats many of the weaknesses of its first season, without showing much growth in storytelling or character development. Instead of deepening the relationships and exploring the emotional struggles that could make this series stand out, the writing falls back on predictable love triangles, manufactured drama, and inconsistent pacing. One other issue that stands out among audiences is the casting. The central love story relies on the idea of multiple boys being drawn to one girl, but the way the lead was cast doesn’t convincingly reflect that premise. For a story that builds its entire emotional conflict on characters fighting for someone’s affection, viewers expected a lead who truly embodied that once-in-a-lifetime, striking presence, someone so rare and captivating that the drama would feel believable. Instead, many felt that the supporting cast members often stood out more, which undercut the realism and intensity of the story. The biggest concern is with the lead girl. Many people in my school said they wished the show had cast someone jaw-droppingly beautiful, a girl who feels completely out of everyone’s league and would realistically spark such intense competition. Think of someone with the striking presence of an Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox rare, unforgettable, and magnetic. Instead, the lead comes across as more average compared to the hype built around her character, she could walk past you and wouldn’t be a big head turner and at times even the background characters appeared better looking. This disconnect makes the central love triangle far less believable. On top of that, the show leans heavily on casting older actors who look closer to 30 than high school age, which further breaks the realism and weakens the authenticity of the story. It’s harder to immerse yourself in a teen romance when the characters clearly appear to be in their late twenties or older. This disconnect weakens the believability of the show’s world and makes it difficult for younger viewers to relate. It could have just been a show that didn’t involve high school. The dialogue frequently lacks authenticity, making emotional moments come across as forced rather than earned. Even when the actors give sincere performances, they are undercut by weak writing and repetitive plotting. The result is a season that struggles to hold the viewer’s attention and offers little payoff for investing in the characters’ journeys. Visually, the show remains polished, and there are glimpses of warmth in family-centered scenes. However, these highlights are too rare to outweigh the frustrating storytelling choices. By the end of the season, it feels less like a coming-of-age series and more like a recycled blend of familiar teen-drama clichés. See more Read all reviews
