Parker Lewis is a teenager who apparently can't lose. He's cool, cute, popular, hip - and seems to get away with anything. That's not to say he's got no problems. His nemesis is his high-school principal, Grace Musso, whose sole purpose in life seems to be getting Parker expelled. Then there's Parker's little sister, Shelly, whose sole purpose in life seems to be tattling on Parker. However, with best friends Mikey and Jerry, Parker takes on the world and makes the best of high school.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Even though Parker Lewis is a carbon copy of Ferris Bueller, this sitcom surpasses the original coolest kid in high school with its excellent writing, superb casting, and kooky cartoony style.

it's kind of surprising that it worked as well as it did. Part of that was the fact that [Corin] Nemec was a genuinely likable guy heading up a likable ensemble, and part of it was the clever writing that didn't talk down to its audience. Go to Full Review

When high school shows were a dime a dozen, creators Clyde Phillips and Lon Diamond challenged the genre with unique camera angles, narration and cartoon sound effects making it a hit among those looking for something different. Go to Full Review

Parker Lewis Can't Lose is one of the rare early-'90s teen TV shows that are still watchable. That's a credit to the writing of creator Clyde Phillips and the zany but grounded direction of a fledgling Andy Tennant. Go to Full Review
