Critic Reviews for Prey Season 1

All Critics (6) | Top Critics (5)

"Prey" is filled with dopey implausibilities and horror cliches, and its basic premise seems riddled with loopholes. Series producers and creators Charlie Craig and William Schmidt haven't let their imaginations run nearly wild enough.

Jun 20, 2019 | Full Review…

Silly at its core and straight-faced in its delivery, ''Prey'' is also effective as a thriller and a sly science-fiction story.

Jun 20, 2019 | Full Review…

"Prey" has loads of potential and, at least in the pilot, has the dark and murky something's-terribly-wrong-here feel to it that moves "The X-Files."

Jun 20, 2019 | Full Review…

Style? Yes. Plots to chew on? See ya later.

Jun 20, 2019 | Full Review…

While the show boasts an intriguing premise and a comely lead in Debra Messing, the opening stanza doesn't quite draw viewers in.

Jun 20, 2019 | Full Review…

The first episode goes too heavy on creepy atmosphere, and some of the dialogue must be heard to be disbelieved.
