How much is staying alive worth to the 10 participants in this adventure series? Dropped off on an island with nothing but the clothes they are wearing and $1 million in cash, they must survive a 40-day journey filled with demanding physical challenges to split the cash prize. The catch? Survival items and creature comforts are for sale, but prices are extremely inflated (think $30,000 for a tent), all purchase decisions require majority approval, and the cost is deducted from the shared prize. The series provides a unique fly-on-the-wall perspective for viewers by relying on retrofitted drone cameras and robo-cam technology for principle photography, adding a layer of isolation for the survivors as they fight brutal conditions... and one another.
