The Audacity takes an absurd look at the outsized egos of the Silicon Valley elites building our future. Tech CEO Duncan Park grapples with an increasingly unhinged public persona, threatens to expose his ethically compromised therapist JoAnne Felder (Sarah Goldberg), and squares off against eccentric billionaire Carl Bardolph (Zach Galifianakis). As Big Tech's influence grows, the overconfident, morally bankrupt minds leading the charge begin to unravel, proving the architects of tomorrow can barely manage their lives today.

It’s the focus on data harvesting that gives “The Audacity” its strange verve, born of a conviction that it can make this perpetually overlooked issue an object of emotional investment. Its satirical aim feels spot-on. Go to Full Review

Bitter, brutal, depressing. Go to Full Review

The cast is very good and the dialogue good enough, but because few of these characters are developed beyond a handful of identifying characteristics, it’s a generally cold, dispassionate watch. Go to Full Review

There’s real potential here for this show to put AMC back on the map in a meaningful way. It carries that dense, layered texture reminiscent of Mad Men, along with the go-for-broke freneticism of Succession. Go to Full Review

This series combines Succession-like comedy about the wealthy with the Silicon Valley setting, where everyone is smarter but equally selfish. Go to Full Review

A highly entertaining must-see, and a series keenly attuned to the present moment. Go to Full Review

Arby W @ArbyW 6d Better to have revived the actually good Silicon Valley than this cringe-fest. See more David O @Rage66 May 29 I really wanted to lIke this show because it has Zach Galifianakis and Rob Corddry. But it is just terrible. I watched the first five episodes and I had to stop torturing myself after I realized that I couldn't care less about any of the characters. Not a single one. This is not a knock on the actors, they're all wonderful. It is the writing. The episodes are so boring. I was so disappointed because this show could have been so much more than it is. See more Brandon O @RT25527647 May 26 This is one of the best shows out there right now. Funny and the story keeps you interested in what the characters are doing. All of the characters are flawed, but have some redeeming qualities and you understand their motivations for the most part, or you do as you keep going. Given time, this show could develop into a classic. See more Andrei D @RT74856639 May 26 It starts off too glib and frenetic and never fully trusts its characters to work on their own, but the final three episodes pull it all together in an interesting, if overly dramatic, way See more Miguel R @Miguel_Madrid May 25 Great Show. Superb acting. As other reviewers say I am also shocked at the low audience score, and it is probably because tech bros didn’t like how it portrays them. See more Kriss H @MissKris02 May 25 I’m actually shocked at the low audience score. This show is fantastic. My theory is that it still doesn’t have a large audience and most of the ones who have discovered it are tech bros who didn’t like how it portrays them so they give it a terrible rating. I usually trust the audience score over critics but with this one, trust the critics more. It should still be a higher score because it’s a great show and very well acted. It seems like people don’t get that the characters are supposed to be unlikable, horrible people. It’s funny because of how unlikable and terrible they all are. Apparently season 2 is already happening. Hopefully by its release this show will have found a bigger audience beyond angry tech bros. See more Read all reviews
