Graham T 11/07/2024 I've really enjoyed the first four series of the Bidding Room however. In the current series, the dealers have had far too narrow a range of interests, leading to far too many items receiving very few bids, most dealers declaring themselves "out" from the start. This is compounded by programme researchers, who seem to have brought in many items that should be in specialist auctions, which is interesting but futile in terms of the sellers getting a fair price. The insistence on forced puns and giving the sellers cringeworthy lines is tedious. It's great to see the venue shift to Edinburgh, but again this has made the dealers reticent to buy heavier or larger items. See more Read all reviews
