The results are hit and miss, and sometimes it's a long while between hits. But when Mr. Jefferies and his crew get it right, there's an explosive quality to the humor that you don't always get with [other news satire].

Generally, like most shows of this ilk, The Jim Jefferies Show will require a wait-and-see. As a fan of the host, there were enough elements with potential in the first two episodes to keep me watching.

The topics are timely, and there are some funny lines and quirky field segments. However, it lacks the sharp, smart wit that similar shows like Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee are known for.
