Wayne and Dahlia Malloy, along with the kids, are Irish con artists and thieves -- Travellers as they're called. After getting into an altercation with another family of Travellers, the Malloys are involved in a car crash. That crash kills wealthy couple Doug and Cherien Rich. Hoping to live a better life, the Malloys adopt the Riches' identities and move into their affluent Baton Rouge, La., community. But they now face the challenge of not having their deception exposed by people from their past or people from the Riches' past.

12/19/2020 In spite of the various -- and sometimes tempting -- expressions of relaxed frivolity and sinister realism that comprise this series, the show fails to pass the most basic test that we must apply these days: that which demonstrates either a willingness to combat the racism and genocidal stereotypes of the past, or to reinforce them.
