Alyssa Reid

R&B and hip-hop singer and songwriter Alyssa Reid was born on March 15, 1993, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her first single, "Alone Again," was released in November 2010 and featured P. Reign. "Alone Again" debuted at No. 79 on Billboard's Canadian Hot 100 chart, and ultimately peaked at No. 11. It was also certified Double Platinum by the Canadian Recording Industry Association. She also made the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Canadian Emerging Artists chart, a position she held for 33 weeks in a row. Her next single, "The Game," was released in April 2011 and peaked at No. 35 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. "Alone Again" also garnered Reid a nomination for Pop Video of the Year at the MuchMusic Video Awards in 2011. Her debut studio album, "The Game," was released in June 2011 on Wax Records. She was also nominated for Best New Artist at the 2012 JUNO Awards. Her second studio album, "Time Bomb," was released in February 2014. Singles from the album included "Hurricane," "Running Guns," and "Satisfaction Guaranteed" (which was certified Gold by the CRIA). In 2015, the single "Dangerous," featuring The Heist, was released in advance of her third album, "Phoenix," which came out in November of that year and was also preceded by the single "Tomorrow."
