R&B and hip-hop singer and songwriter Alyssa Reid was born on March 15, 1993, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her first single, "Alone Again," was released in November 2010 and featured P. Reign. "Alone Again" debuted at No. 79 on Billboard's Canadian Hot 100 chart, and ultimately peaked at No. 11. It was also certified Double Platinum by the Canadian Recording Industry Association. She also made the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Canadian Emerging Artists chart, a position she held for 33 weeks in a row. Her next single, "The Game," was released in April 2011 and peaked at No. 35 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. "Alone Again" also garnered Reid a nomination for Pop Video of the Year at the MuchMusic Video Awards in 2011. Her debut studio album, "The Game," was released in June 2011 on Wax Records.
