Daan Lennard Liebrenz was a German actor who became a recognizable face to American audiences in late 2017 when began appearing on Netflix's German language TV show "Dark" (Netflix, 2017- ). Liebrenz was born in 2005, and began acting at a very early age, appearing on German television shows and movies in the early 2010s, when he was just six years old. His first German TV movie role was in the 2012 comedy "Lotta & die großen Erwartungen," and from there he followed up with parts in "Krokodil" (2013) and "Meeres Stille" (2013). Liebrenz continued landing parts throughout the mid-2010s, in films like "Tag der Wahrheit" (2015), "Das Programm" (2016), and "Zwei Leben. Eine Hoffnung." (2016). In addition to nabbing a role in the action-adventure comedy "The Legend of Timm Thaler or The Boy Who Sold His Laughter" (2017), he also began appearing on the German TV shows "Triple Ex" (UFA Fiction, 2017- ) and "Dark" (Netflix, 2017- ), the latter of which was picked up and distributed by Netflix in late 2017.
