Jack McDonald worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. McDonald's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the William Farnum western "The Spoilers" (1914), "The Big Punch" (1920) and "The Last of the Mohicans" (1920). He also appeared in the drama "Lorna Doone" (1922) with Madge Bellamy, "Main Street" (1923) with Florence Vidor and the Gibson Gowland drama "Greed" (1924). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the twenties and the nineties, appearing in "Champion of Lost Causes" (1925), the adventure "Don Q, Son of Zorro" (1925) with Douglas Fairbanks and "13 Washington Square" (1928). He also appeared in the Laura La Plante drama "Show Boat" (1929) and the western "The Phantom City" (1929) with Ken Maynard. McDonald was additionally credited in "A Bucket of Blood" (Showtime, 1995-96), "Mummy Hunters" (TBS, 1995-96) and "Bears!" (TBS, 1997-98). His credits also expanded to "Avalanche!" (PBS, 1998-99). McDonald was most recently credited in "West Point" (PBS, 2001-02). McDonald passed away in June 1941 at the age of 61.
