John McKee was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, McKee landed roles in various films, including the documentary "The House on 92nd Street" (1945) with William Eythe, the drama "Twelve O'Clock High" (1949) with Gregory Peck and the Paul Douglas fantastical comedy "Angels in the Outfield" (1951). He also appeared in the June Allyson comedy "Too Young to Kiss" (1951), "Above and Beyond" (1952) and the Dan Dailey biopic "The Pride of St. Louis" (1952). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "Executive Suite" (1954) with William Holden, the Tony Curtis action flick "Johnny Dark" (1954) and the crime adaptation "Illegal" (1955) with Edward G Robinson. He also appeared in "The Wrong Man" (1956) with Henry Fonda. During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the Lee Marvin dramatic adaptation "Monte Walsh" (1970), "Rio Lobo" (1970) with John Wayne and the drama "Best Friends" (1975) with Richard Hatch. He also appeared in the Gregory Peck biopic "MacArthur" (1977) and "Tough Enough" (1983). Most recently, McKee worked on the dramedy "Holy Man" (1998) with Eddie Murphy.
