Maurizio Merli was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Merli found his beginnings in film with roles in the Franco Agostini historical romance "Decameron Proibitissimo" (1971), "Roma A Mano Armata" (1975) and the John Saxon action flick "Napoli violenta" (1976). Merli made film his next project, appearing in "Mannaja" (1977), "Il Poliziotto scomodo" (1979) and "Priest of Love" (1981) with Ian McKellen. Later in his career, Merli worked on the drama "Good Morning Babylon" (1987) with Vincent Spano. Merli passed away in March 1989 at the age of 50.
