Robert Farnon

Robert Farnon brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Farnon began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the adventure "Captain Horatio Hornblower" (1951) with Gregory Peck, the comedic adaptation "All For Mary" (1955) with Nigel Patrick and the "Gentlemen Marry Brunettes" (1955) film with Jane Russell. His music also appeared in "The Little Hut" (1957). In the fifties and the seventies, Farnon's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the comedy "The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw" (1958) with Kenneth More, "Expresso Bongo" (1959) and the drama "The Truth About Spring" (1965) with Hayley Mills. His work was also in "Shalako" (1968) and "The Man Who Fell to Earth" (1976) with David Bowie. Farnon's music was also featured in the Donald Sutherland adventure "Bear Island" (1979), "Friend or Foe" (1982) and the action flick "The Ref" (1994) with Denis Leary. His music was also featured in the Jeremy Davies dramatic adaptation "Going All the Way" (1997). Farnon's music was most recently featured in the Steve Zahn comedy "Strange Wilderness" (2008). Farnon passed away in April 2005 at the age of 88.
