Tianna Bartoletta
Born in 1985 in Elyria, Ohio, Tianna Bartoletta excelled at track and field at an early age. In her four years of high school Bartoletta earned nine state championships winning 100 meter, 200 meter, the 4x 100 meter relay and long jump in various years. In 2003, she was named the Gatorade Ohio High School Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year and was on Elyria High School's academic honor roll all four years. Choosing to attend the University of Tennessee, Bartoletta was named the SEC Freshman Outdoor Field Events Athlete of the Year. In her four year career at Tennessee, she placed in the schools all time top ten in a number of events including 60 meter race, 55 meters, 200 meters, long jump, and triple jump. In 2005, she won the gold medal in long jump at the World Outdoor Championships. At the 2012 Olympics in London, Bartoletta ran the first leg of the 4x100 meter relay, which won the gold medal and set the world record. The same year, she was named as part of the US National Bobsled Team. In 2015, she again won the long jump at the World Outdoor Championships, with a personal best distance of 7.14 meters.
