Biography:

You could have predicted a career on the fringes of the film world when Chuck Schwartz did his first professional interview at age 14 with famed director Otto Preminger. Post-college, he spent a full career in radio as producer of the King Biscuit Flower Hour concert series, Robert Klein's radio talk show, and numerous programs for NBC's "The Source" Radio Network. A broken neck and ensuing poverty sidelined him in 1988 and, for a number of years, most of the recovery time was spent watching movies. Realizing that he'd otherwise have to pay for what he got to see for free via a Director's Guild of America membership card, Schwartz began reviewing and rating films based on ticket price. He joined Entertainment Drive, the first independent online entertainment magazine, in 1995 and stayed through 1998. In the meantime he can be seen semi-regularly on CNN Saturday Morning, and heard on KIRO Seattle and the w0kie.net direct satellite network
