Tár (2022) Victoria Luxford Playing out like Black Swan at the other end of the success story, Tár is an engrossing movie that deserves the boost of a potential Oscar run. If nothing else, it cements Blanchett as one of the best on-screen storytellers working today.

M3GAN (2022) Victoria Luxford Entertaining enough to earn its place as one of 2023’s first breakout hits, and to make its title character the stuff of creepy legend.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) Victoria Luxford The film lacks is the ability to cast a more critical eye on its subject... (but) this is hardly the first biopic to play fast and loose with reality. Taken on its own merits, it is a fascinating rise and fall story with two magnetic leads

The French Dispatch (2021) Victoria Luxford Unlikely to turn Anderson haters into advocates, but it is a humble and affectionate ode to writers that opened up his world.

Last Night in Soho (2021) Victoria Luxford Wrestling with itself in terms of tone, it's an inventive but ultimately pretty standard spooky tale.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) Victoria Luxford Thirteen years and twenty-five films in, one could be forgiven for dreading yet another destiny to fulfil, another climactic battle to win. However, (this film) gives us a reason to care, and enough breadcrumbs to prove there are exciting things ahead.

Miss Juneteenth (2020) Victoria Luxford The resilience is infectious, and (Beharie's) performance makes every small success enormously uplifting, even if the films third act offers some overly neat conclusions.

Rocks (2019) Victoria Luxford a celebration of female strength, told in a way that never comes close to being trite or patronising.

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020) Victoria Luxford Having already experienced a disappointing sequel (Bogus Journey was poorly received at the time), this threequel strives to give fans everything they could ask for... with a sweet message that couldnt be more needed at a time like this.
