The Robert Craig Films team spent three weeks on a bus touring 20 major cities across 18 states to capture the essence of what is causing the homeless crisis in America and produced their findings in the Americans With No Address documentary. Having this perspective of what is truly causing the homelessness problem has helped the team greatly in producing their complimentary feature film No Address, a narrative film that will help bring more awareness to the problem. They were interested in learning more about what solutions have been implemented and proven to show positive changes in the community. The team interviewed policy leaders, mission directors, clinical specialists, CEOs of national nonprofits, executive directors of local and regional nonprofits, influencers, those who had experienced homelessness, and those who were still struggling. Trauma, mental health, substance abuse, lack of affordable housing, and economics are all factors for the drastic increase in homelessness in our country. Several scenes from the feature film No Address appear in the documentary, providing a narrative perspective of these various issues.

Jesy Rae B @RT96969371 Mar 11 This documentary is an incredibly offensive deflection from the mass evidence that demonstrates that homelessness is overwhelmingly driven by systemic and structural factors — specifically a lack of affordable housing, economic inequality, and historical discrimination — rather than individual failings. Research indicates that denying these systemic causes leads to dehumanization of unhoused individuals and obscures the role of policy, such as discriminatory housing, justice system, and economic practices, in creating homelessness. Don't watch this gross documentary that reinforces propaganda and stereotypes about houselessness while helping wealthy people stay wealthy. It's as if the filmmakers never did a single bit of research. See more Kevin H @RT02302971 03/02/2025 This documentary is right on point and goes to the source of individuals experiencing homelessness and those caring for them AND having success with helping turn lives around and not wasting taxpayer dollars on ineffective programs. The filmmakers toured the US to get to the heart of the issue. As someone with several friends who are homeless at the moment, this documentary was real and offered truth and hope. See more Robin W @RWillson 02/11/2025 This film shows the complexity of the homeless situation in our country, what's being done and what can be done. It is definitely moving and is well made. They also give you some ideas where you might help too. See more Wren R @RT89368952 01/24/2025 "Americans With No Address" addresses the homelessness faced by Americans--at least a half a million every night, who must sleep on the street. Whether they're displaced from homes because of aging out of foster care, financial loss, mental health struggles, substance abuse, or other crises, they find themselves homeless. What can be done? Is this a hopeless problem that will never go away? Not at all! Numerous organizations in many cities are extending a hand--a life-changing one--to homeless men, women, and children; and they're lifting them out of street life and into health (mental and physical), homes, jobs, and the knowledge that they ARE important. That someone cares. And the lives of these individuals change as a result. See this film. Be encouraged. Homelessness isn't final or forever. See more Teri O @RT20795818 01/23/2025 Americans With No Address is an eye-opening documentary that looks beyond the stereotypes and behind the scenes of homelessness to uncover the shocking truths about being homeless in America. For one thing, more than half of them are children! This documentary is the most unbiased reporting I’ve ever seen on the homeless crisis, without political agendas and rhetoric. They simply tell it the way it is. With so many people living paycheck to paycheck these days, it’s often just a series of unfortunate events that render them homeless – or it might be one major event, such as divorce or job loss. Government is not the solution to homelessness; in fact, governmental policies often exacerbate the problem instead of providing practical solutions. The documentary team noted the significant benefits of available housing and supportive services as an effective way to handle the crisis of homelessness. They didn’t come right out and say it, but it became evident by the end of the documentary that the organizations with the most successful track record of helping the homeless are faith-based community nonprofits. An important lesson in this documentary is that people will rise to meet your level of expectations for them. Moreover, the difference between life and death could be one person’s caring action. A diverse group of interviewees from across the country offer valuable advice, which can be applied to address real needs. This documentary is a must-watch for anyone who has a heart! See more Mercy S @RT03968073 01/23/2025 Hey friends! Today I wanted to take the opportunity to share with you all about this phenomenal movie releasing soon. It's called "Americans With No Address and it is a documentary about the homeless crisis facing America. It will pull at your heartstrings in the most poignant and authentic way. It will take you on a journey of why there is such an epidemic and the ways that we can be helping, multiple non profits will introduce several ideas they think will help to reduce homelessness. Homelessness is out there, more so then we'd like to think and this movie was an eye opener for me. I highly recommend you watch this movie, be careful to only watch it with your older children though, in my opinion some stuff that is too sensitive for little ears to be hearing and worrying about.
