Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem is literally shrouded in darkness, and the only explicable reason for this pitch-black visual schema is that the filmmakers understood it was better if no one could see the **** they were shooting.

Future Alien and Predator films never managed to capture the appeal of the originals, but they were at least more watchable than this. AVPR is without question the worst that these franchises ever got.

Fantastic movie, wasn't fussed about the dark scenes thought it added to the tension, the long night was much darker. This was the most modern and accomplished of the first four films.

First off, Alien is one of my favorite movies ever. I also love Aliens. I used to buy Alien Vs Predator comics when I was young. But this movie is one my list of most HATED movies, not worst, but hated. It is a mean spirited, disturbing and overall an unpleasant piece of cinema. I am a horror movie fan since the 80s. I am far from squeamish (not that this movie is particularly gruesome); I've seen Martyrs, Audition, Terrifier 2, Ichi The Killer and many more. But his movie is simply needlessly cruel and repulsive. I cannot believe a major studio green-lit this movie. The makers should never be allowed behind a camera again.

La breve e fallimentare carriera di regista di Colin Strause inizia con questo incredibilmente scarso sequel in cui potenzialmente si sommano tutti i peggiori difetti della trama per un'esplosione di pessime scelte. Partendo dai personaggi, senza un vero protagonista copertina e soprattutto con una serie di comprimari a dir poco fastidiosi. Proseguendo per la trama, ripetitiva e banale, dove si attende solamente la battaglia finale per comprendere chi, tra i personaggi, riuscirà a sopravvivere. Infine, anche la regia ed il montaggio, sembrano davvero mal gestiti; i giochi di luce portano ad una serie di sequenze troppo buie, tanto da essere fastidiose, i combattimenti non hanno grandi spunti di originalità ed anzi, sono piuttosto amatoriali. Film che segna la fine della trilogia con un capitolo di anticipo.
