06/07/2011 Exteremely informative but as interesting as a monotone professor lecturing as you sit in the back row of an auditorium with 300 other history students while the sorority girls work on thier make-up, the jocks read newspapers and you're doodling in the margins of your $73.16 history book. Can only recomend if you're a die hard history fan or really, really want to know why things are so screwed up politically in the Mid East. See more 01/12/2010 very insightful & fascinating exploration into how the middle east was made & gives clues to how we the good guys can win the war on terror. See more 11/09/2008 They should have this shown in every high school See more 07/26/2008 If you want to truly understand why the US is still involved in the Middle East, this documentary will provide the necessary historical background. Expert commentary from noted historians, along with period footage from WWI, provide a fascinating look at how the geopolitical situation in which we find ourselves today was formulated in the first place. See more 02/06/2008 Great documentary on the history of the region the world now refers to as Middle East. The story of WW1 and of land grab after the war. A must see! See more 08/23/2007 Though very informative, this documentary was mind numbingly boring. See more Read all reviews
