Each of the lead actors does good work here - although Jennifer Connolly's war correspondent must to have an unseen hairdresser traveling with he r- but in regard to the social and political content, Zwick seems to have bitten off more than he could chew.

I prefer when Leo has an accent like in this film. Dark, action packed, with historical issues.

I watched this in theater and didn't think much of Leo's movies prior as far as an action kinda manly character and was impressed, thought it was a real step up to open the door to action movies like Inception and Revenant which I would never have thought he could have pulled off if not for his work in this, that's my two cents
