Charlotte et son Jules (Charlotte and Her Boyfriend) Reviews

Another lovely short piece from Jean-Luc Godard. This one is more focused on guys' mentalities against girls especially in the process of overcoming broken love. It's almost all about Jean-Paul Belmondo's speech against Anne Collette, and nothing particular happens throughout the piece, but it proves that if there are attractive man and cute girl, there can be a movie. The ending is very sympathyzable.

Jean-Paul Belmondo is on fine form as always, delivering fast paced lines effortlessly. The story though is predictable and Anne Collette/Anne Collettes character is incredibly annoying. Just as well its a short. Not Godard's best but still good.
