Without the distraction of expats here, though, "One Candle, Two Candles" proves worthwhile at least as a cultural curio.

Brilliant comedy about a serious question: forced marriage and physical abuse of women in Kurdish society. Director Rosebiani edifies while he entertains. A must-see.

This is the second film I see by Jano Rosebiani. I love the smart interweaving of plots and characters, and the mixture of tragedy with humor. I laughed and I cried. The best quality of the film is its freshness of subject matter and approach.
